Scene importance. Being great in Berlin counts differently from being great where there are four clubs.

Recency of observed Instagram activity. This is a signal, not proof of current operation.

Visitor ratings. Shrunk toward the site-wide average, so a handful of votes cannot move a room and a brigade has to be enormous to be felt. Counts only once a venue clears the minimum number of ratings.

Capacity and reach. A 4,000-person hall and a 200-person basement are judged on the same curve, not the same size.

Longevity. Surviving ten years in nightlife is evidence.

User saves. Deliberately weak — it is the easiest signal to game.
