Housed in a monolithic former combined-heat-and-power plant in Friedrichshain, Berghain stands as the world's most mythical temple of techno. Operating uninterrupted marathon sessions from Saturday midnight through Monday midday, its cavernous industrial concrete architecture, custom Funktion-One sound system, and uncompromising artistic ethos have defined modern global dance culture.

Inside, the colossal main floor reverberates with dark, muscular, industrial techno, while upstairs the daylight-bathed Panorama Bar offers warm, hypnotic house and disco grooves. The space functions as an inclusive, queer-rooted sanctuary where cameras and phones are strictly taped at the door to protect uninhibited personal expression on the floor.
